The Oostvaardersplassen form the largest swampland area in the Netherlands. Many unusual species of bird, mammal and insect inhabit the area, as well as hundreds of Heck cattle, Konik horses and red deer. In recent years, sea eagles have even been spotted in the area. Quite spectacular! In the Oostvaardersplassen, you can go back in time to when nature was a real wilderness.
