As of today(31-03-2021) Lelystad Haven has a new owner: Thuishavens, a marina operator that owns 3 other marinas (Jachthaven Bruinisse, Jachthaven Naarden and Marina Muiderzand). Thuishavens joined Port Adhoc group in 2019 to establish a European marina network consisting of 10 marinas.
The Dinant family founded the marina 30 years ago and turned it into a successful full-service marina offering more than 550 berths. This is mainly due to Martijn Dinant, who succeeded his parents in 2001.
Martijn: "For the last 20 years, I have been working day and night in the marina and I am constantly 'on'. It is time for a change and spend more time with my family. At the end of 2019, I decided to sell the marina and relatively soon got in touch with the Port Adhoc group. I observed how they operate after the merge with Thuishavens. They allow the individual marinas to be independent and keep their own identity. That appeals to me. I am confident that our marina, our customers and my colleagues will be in good hands."
This purchase is aligned with the Group's ambition to form a premium marina network in the Netherlands and in Europe. As in our other marinas, the services in Lelystad will be enhanced by the marina management system VEGA which has been developed internally.
Edu Brons, director of Thuishavens: "Lelystad Haven fits in perfectly both in terms of location, level of facilities and customer orientation. We noticed in all aspects that this marina is run with a great deal of expertise, entrepreneurship and passion. Together we are even stronger".
Martijn Dinant remains involved in a special development in the marina (which he conceived himself): the realisation of very luxurious upmarket floating houses. Sales are expected to start in 2021.
Lelystad Haven has a great team that remains unchanged. For the replacement of Martijn the marina is seeking a hands-on marina manager is being searched for.
